Ingunn is educated as a civil architect from NTNU in Trondheim and has a background as a spatial planner and Bolyst project manager in Hamarøy municipality. Later, she was based in Bodø and worked as an architect, innovation leader, and eventually as the department manager for Norconsult's architecture group. From autumn 2023, Ingunn is part of the team at Fabric+, with the main responsibility for place development.

Ingunn's collective experience from the private sector includes planning and project management of care homes, schools, and kindergartens, as well as rehabilitation, remodeling, and transformation of existing buildings. Her municipal experience includes both area and detailed zoning, participation processes, and development of risk and vulnerability analysis – in addition to a number of small and large place development projects.

As an architect and place developer, Ingunn is attentive and committed, with a passion for creating sustainable and inclusive places and communities. She has a particular commitment to facilitating good, interdisciplinary participation processes.
